Domestic Epoxy Flooring

Domestic Epoxy Flooring

Enhance your home with domestic epoxy flooring

ADFLEX offers a range of domestic epoxy flooring options to suit your individual needs. Any concrete surface in the home can be coated with epoxy, be it horizontal or vertical. So, whether it’s your living area, garage, shed, alfresco or rumpus room that needs domestic epoxy floor, we can do it all.

The purpose of epoxy is to provide a protective barrier against corrosion. To achieve this durable surface, resin and a hardener are bonded together, which causes a chemical reaction that produces that hard product.

Our domestic epoxy flooring not only protects, but also enhances the performance of your surface, and enriches the appearance and equity of your home. Some epoxy flooring coatings also feature a non-slip element, which improves the safety of your home.

Benefits of domestic epoxy floor

Durable and enhances protection

This hardened surface protects against everyday wear and tear. The seal is waterproof and in areas like the garage or shed, the protective coating stops oil and fluids staining your flooring, and reduces surface dirt and grime.

Easy to maintain

A surface coated with epoxy is easy to clean. What’s even better is it prevents concrete dust, as well as disguises dirt, which is ideal for outdoor areas.

Appearance

Domestic epoxy flooring can enhance the visual appearance of your home. It offers a decorative finish, and its light reflecting properties can also brighten a room.

Cost effective

Domestic epoxy flooring is a cheaper alternative to concrete polishing. Rather than having to undergo extensive grinding until the surface looks polished, the seal achieves the look without the extra elbow grease.

Anti slip

We offer anti-slip epoxy flooring alternatives, if you are concerned about the safety of your concrete flooring. There are several grades of non-slip additive for your coating, which are tested to Australian Standards 4586:2013.

Our domestic epoxy flooring options:

Flake flooring

A base coat (usually white, unless specified) is applied to the concrete. Next, a layer of colour chip (or flake) is applied and then coating with an anti graffiti, UV stable, reduced slip clear.

Epoxy fusion

An epoxy colour or clear is applied to the surface, followed by one or several reflective colours. When multiple colours are used, they are blended together to achieve a decorative finish. Usually swirly patterns or a marble effect is created.

Solid colour

A single colour is applied to the surface, usually in an epoxy and polyurethane, two- coat system.

Non-slip

The application of non-slip flooring depends on the situation. For example, in certain wet areas, ramps and public places, Australian Standards apply and must be followed. Our product has been tested for all situations and certificates are available for OH&S and architectural requirements, and legal responsibilities.

Self-level – Cement based

A self-leveling cement based product is applied to uneven or brittle surfaces. It is commonly used when coating over tiled floors, as the coating conceals the grout lines.

Self-level – Epoxy and polyurethane

Self-level epoxy and polyurethane coating achieves an exceptional bond to the sub-straight. It is renowned for its durability and creates a hard coating that creates a completely flat working surface. The epoxy flooring can be anywhere between 2mm thick to 8-10 mm thick. It is considered the best flooring money can buy, and achieves a completely flat working surface.

Clear coat over ground concrete or aggregate

Don’t get this finish confused with polished concrete. While this method accomplishes the effect of polished concrete, it doesn’t come with the price tag. Unlike polished concrete, excessive grinding is required to achieve the polished look. Instead, a grind and clear is performed, and then the clear coat of epoxy or polyurethane is applied, providing the effect of a polished concrete.

Concrete repair

We repair all types of concrete damage including minor cracks, major expansion joints, and damaged concrete from wear or mechanical destruction. All concrete can be repaired with a range of products and our expertise.
